Tatooine
has been infected with zombie stormtroopers. Who you gonna call?
Michonne from The Walking Dead of course! Pay attention JJ Abrams. Given
her prowess with a samurai blade, I always picture her with a
lightsaber. We all know she’s a total badass, but now she has
interstellar credentials. She
even has a pelt of decapitated bounty hunter heads - Bossk, Dengar and
she’s about to collect IG-88’s tin noggin. Michonne has this cloak of
mystery around her so I imagined her as a bounty hunter to muddy the
Jedi waters. I see her as a mercenary of sorts, not always towing the
Jedi line note for note (perhaps there was a falling out) but she’s on
the side of good when the sugar honey ice tea hits the fan, I think…
Designed as the debut issue of her comic, here’s to wishing.
It is available as a 13x19" full bleed giclée print, hand signed and dated. https://www.etsy.com/listing/156118236/michonne-walking-deadstar-wars-mashup?ref=shop_home_active OH, I am including a free 3x4" Michonne headshot waterproof sticker with every print sold. :)

Quint from Jaws/Wolverine Mashup Poster
Whenever
I watch Jaws I am always struck by how dope Quint's sideburns are. He
really rocks the stuffing out of them. Always made me think of another
famous fictional fella with killer burns - Wolverine! So I thought what
if Quint was actually a mutant, had a healing factor and an adamantium
skeleton with killer claws. He'd slash his way out Jaw's belly, emerged
from the blood reborn, ready to take the high seas by storm. I designed
it as a comic book cover, an homage to Wolverine #1. At last - in his
own monthly series!
It was created for the MF Gallery's
10th Anniversary show this past weekend. I actually created a special,
hand painted, blood embellished print for it, but it sold out already.
BUT it is now available as a 8.5x11” or 13x19” giclée print through my
online store HERE.
OH, I am including a FREE 3x5" waterproof Quint head sticker (the upper
left one, see store listing) with every print sold. Put that in your
pipe and smoke it :)
You know him, know what he does for a livin' - SNIKT!

Daft Punk - Futuro Punkaris Monumentus - Gauntlet Gallery
I recently created a limited edition 16×24″ print for Gauntlet Gallery’s Daft Punk show ReDiscovery. Two prints actually, Futuro Punkaris Monumentus – “Sun” & “Moon”,
depicting a future society where a gigantic monument has been created
in tribute to Daft Punk. People, animals & aliens gather from all
around to get down! Even Pikachu, Micheal Jackson, Rooney Fruits the
Angel Dancer and a pink elephant from Dumbo joined the fray. In all
there are 74 dancers. Nearly broke my mind completing this so I hope you
enjoy the festivities. Here’s a rough breakdown of all the characters –
3 lizards (plus 1 lizard man), 4 cats, my lovely wife (3x), my cute dog
Football, 1 polar bear, 5 mice, 1 Gnisha, 5 monkeys (gibbon, spider,
orangutan…), 2 rabbits, 27 ladies (including a 4 armed blue skinned
gal), 22 fellas, 2 babies, 1 Pokémon, and a partridge in a pear tree.
The gentlemen behind the helmets, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo
& Thomas Bangalter, are even in there. This was an absolute beast
to do, but once I started I just had to complete the vision. Below are a
bunch of detail shots.
Both versions are available exclusively through the Gauntlet Gallery A 20×30″ canvas print is also available.
They are limited edition so scoop one up quick. Links below.

Step Brothers, Dragon & Nighthawk 4Eva!
Step Brothers is a classic. Yeah, it's
dumb and juvenile but for me it's a friggin masterpiece. When I was
approached by The Bottleneck Gallery to be in their "I Love You man"
show about bromances, it didn't take me long to think of that film. The
image is inspired by the dialogue from when Dale & Brennen first
meet. The exchange "Call me Dragon" "Call Me Nighthawk". I imagined them
flying high in the sky, riding atop mighty beasts, screaming their nuts
off. I especially pumped to draw a dragon for the first time in years,
been too long , look for more soon - one of the main reason why I did
this piece. Had a blast bringing it to life, enjoy!

Below are print shots

It's a limited edition (50) 13x19" giclée print on 190gsm fine art rag. 1" white border around the edges.
Available now through The Bottleneck Gallery HERE

Toronto Life Illustrations - Mayor Rob Ford's Magical Mystery Tour
When Toronto Life's AD Bradley Reinhardt asked me to illustrate a
series featuring their city's Mayor Rob Ford at work on his North
American Tour, I nearly jumped out of my shoes! Mr. Ford is such an
amazing leader and a wonderful guy. Toronto, NAY, the world, is lucky to
have him. Let's follow him on his adventures...
First up, here he is at the closing ceremonies of the Pan Am Games. The crowd loved him!
Stopping by Calgary Stampeder's locker room. He's always welcome there.
Networking with other tourists in Chicago's Millennium Park!
Studying the effects of climate change down in Florida.
Finally,
after a grueling public relations tour, he rewarded himself with an ice
cream cone and trip to Walt Disney World.
Go on, you deserve it, Mr. Ford!
Here's
the layout as featured in Toronto Life. It's such a funny, cutting
take on Rob Ford's tenure as Mayor, there's many more pages of content
about him as well. Check it out denizens of Toronto, unless you actually
support him... it may prove bothersome to say the least.
Special thanks to Bradley for the terrific assignment, cheers!

CRUNCH! Chocolate Chips & Rocket Ships
I recently did an illustration for the upcoming book of 99 and 1/2 poems for kids
called "Chocolate Chips & Rocket Ships" by John O'Marra. Looking to
do more fantasy/kids book work in the future so this was perfect. The
poem I illustrated is called CRUNCH! about a monster that eats, well,
everything...

Mad Men of Thrones
I am a huge fan of Mad Men and Game of Thrones, making Sunday night must-see TV in my household. My wife and I watch both shows back to back and I guess they merged subliminally in my head until I had no choice but to visualize it. Don Stark must protect Manhattan's Landing from all invaders!
The collective I am part of, Illo Confidential, recently did a sweet roundup of Mad Men art. Check it out here http://illoconfidential.com/2013/04/04/mad-men-illustration-special/
This image is also now available as a 8.5x11" giclée print through my store.
