Hollywood comes to Westchester Magazine

Got an illustration in this month's Westchester Magazine about how Hollywood has been serving as a shooting location for many productions. Check out the article HERE if interested.  On a side note, I recently did some work for an upcoming book featuring, amongst other things, eight Kevin Bacon heads (and so much more, haha, to be unveiled this summer), so this is my ninth recent slab of Bacon.  Love that guy, always good in every role he plays, he's still got it.

Recent Illo for Seattle Met - RUN PAPA RUN!!

Got an almost full page illustration in this month's Seattle Met of Papa John running from an angry mob.  No, not because of his dumb comments about Obama's new healthcare law, but because his company spam-texted thousands of people in Seattle which lead to a lawsuit spear headed by Maria Agne, which lead to a decision by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to ban that practice.  Had a blast doing this, lots of fun, cheers Jane!

Star Wars Holochess & AT-AT Takedown Limited Prints

I was recently part of The Bottleneck Gallery's Gadgets and Gizmos Show.  The Bottleneck is a fantastic new gallery that opened up in the fall of 2012, located in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn, that I think has the potential to be the East Coast version of Gallery 1988 or Gallery Nucleus. In the end, after much contemplation, I decided to create two pieces, thereby fully appeasing my inner eight year old to the nth degree.  The first is a 19x13" rendering of the Dejarik Holochess game from the original Star Wars, the one the Chewbacca and R2D2 face off on, where after talking to Han Solo, C3PO exclaims Let the Wookie win.  After an insane amount of visual research, I managed to piece together this image, and designed it like an old beat up cover of a classic Mattel board game.  The other is an 17x11" depiction of a AT-AT Walker takedown from Empire Strike Back, showcasing the bleak but beautiful Hoth terrain and the moment right before the Empire's most formidable land vehicle is tripped up by a skillful snowspeeder.  Both are limited edition giclées, signed and numbered.

Norm MacDonald's New Years Resolution

This is the first one, should be pretty entertaining series! Although this was an overnight deadline, I'm pretty happy with the way it came out.  Looking forward to doing the others.  I hope Norm doesn't lose all his money!

Chewbacca the Red-Nosed Wookie Christmas Card

"Chewbacca the Red-Nosed Wookie had a very shiny nose and if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows. All of the other Wookies used to laugh and call him names. They never let poor Chewbacca, join in any Wookie games. Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Solo came to say, "Chewbacca with your nose so bright, won't you guide my Millennium Falcon tonight?"
