I was recently part of The Bottleneck Gallery's Gadgets and Gizmos
Show. The Bottleneck is a fantastic new gallery that opened up in the
fall of 2012, located in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn, that I think has
the potential to be the East Coast version of Gallery 1988 or Gallery
Nucleus. In the end, after much contemplation, I decided to create two
pieces, thereby fully appeasing my inner eight year old to the nth
degree. The first is a 19x13" rendering of the Dejarik Holochess game
from the original Star Wars, the one the Chewbacca and R2D2 face off on,
where after talking to Han Solo, C3PO exclaims Let the Wookie win.
After an insane amount of visual research, I managed to piece together
this image, and designed it like an old beat up cover of a classic
Mattel board game. The other is an 17x11" depiction of a AT-AT Walker
takedown from Empire Strike Back, showcasing the bleak but beautiful
Hoth terrain and the moment right before the Empire's most formidable
land vehicle is tripped up by a skillful snowspeeder. Both are limited
edition giclées, signed and numbered.
Available though The Bottleneck Gallery's website
or through my Etsy store.
Snap one up before they make the jump to lightspeed.
